Molds constitute an extremely diverse group of organisms. Some have been recognized as classic pathogens, whereas others are recognized only as environmental saprobes, living on nonliving material. Mold can cause mild infections, trigger allergic reactions, including asthma, and produce serious life-threatening disease. With the advent of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and diseases such as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) that affect the immune system, the line between pathogen and saprobe has been blurred. The isolation of all organisms, especially in the immunocompromised patient, must initially be considered a significant finding and evaluated in light of the patient’s history and physical examination results.

Be aware of the Texas Homeowners Remediation Exemption.

Some contractors and third party restoration companies and cleaning companies are not experienced properly and could result in more damage to your home or property. To ensure you receive genuine remediation or restoration services we recommend at least calling Envirogyn or a licensed Mold Remediation Contractor. If you think you need services on your property to identify mold, we recommend hiring a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant.

Also non-licensed individuals may compromise your properties integrity and may cause more damage. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Mold services are performed by licensed experts who known the industry and building sciences.
